

Dentine Scientific Essay
Dentine International Essay Competition is part of the Dentine 2026 event series. This essay competition focuses on solving oral health problems in the community using a strong scientific approach. The solutions proposed must be innovative, creative, original, and applicable to the community. The competition is open to all high school students worldwide, with teams consisting of 2-3 members and one supervisor from high school. The essay competition consists of two stages: the preliminary stage, which involves online selection of essay manuscripts by the organizing committee and judges, and the final stage, which involves an offline presentation of the essay and a question-and-answer session with the judges at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Airlangga University for Indonesia participant and online for international participant. Through this essay competition, participants are expected to generate beneficial ideas, particularly by integrating local wisdom, for sustainable oral health services for the community.

The competition is conducted in 2-3 members in one team with one leader and supervisor from the same school. Each team can send more than one essay with different team leader.
The essay writing requirements can be accessed in guideline. All participant must fullfill the requirement in their essay and can be disqualified if the essay is not in accordance with the provisions.
Participants must choose one of the essay writing subthemes specified in the guideline. The essay written must represent the chosen subtheme and the theme of the essay competition.
Yes, the essay must be written in maximum 3000 words.
The selection of finalist will be conducted by committee and judges based on the administrative, originality, and substantive criteria. The result of judging is inviolable and not transparent.
